On Friday, August 19, 2022, a Turnitin training was held for Lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University. The event will be held from 09.00 to 11.30 WIB. This event was organized by the FEB UNDIP Library as a Refreshing Training in order to optimize the use of Turnitin tools, especially the Feedback Studio to check the similarity of the text. The FEB UNDIP Library invites Mr. Muhammad David Lung (Senior Professional & Education Consultant Turnitin Indonesia) who is an expert in the Turnitin field, and as a moderator for the Head of the FEB UNDIP Library (Mrs. Dr. Endang Fatmawati, M.Si., M.A.).  Mr. Firmansyah, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D representing the Head of FEB UNDIP delivered his remarks and officially opened the event, because Head of FEB UNDIP (Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Sc.) was on a trip to Europe for work. same campus. In his remarks, the Deputy of Academic and Student Affairs FEB UNDIP, Mr. Firman, emphasized at the beginning that this event is very important to improve the quality of scientific publications. He appreciated the FEB UNDIP Library for organizing other matters related to scientific and technical writing activities such as reference management tools. Libraries are the lifeblood of scientific works, especially in providing quality readings so as to encourage the quality of academic writing, produce honest and responsible writing. The event was attended by 67 participants, consisting of Mr/Mrs FEB UNDIP Lecturers, study program admins (S1, S2, S3) in the FEB UNDIP environment, and FEB UNDIP Library staff. The response from the participants, especially the Lecturers, was very good. This can be seen from the feedback during the Q & A session, as well as when filling out the evaluation link (suggestions and impressions), as well as suggestions for further training. Lecturers write very varied suggestions, for example: monograph writing, paraphrasing, offline Turnitin training, technical training in operating feedback studio, EYD/PUEBI, latex, how to overcome high similarity index, NVIVO service, plagiarism testing practice, publication Scopus scientific research, citation management (Zotero, Mendeley, End Note), and many other suggestions that have been submitted to the FEB UNDIP Library. There are even lecturers who deliver comments directly via Zoom, for example, Mrs. Dra. Amie Kusumawardhani, M.Sc., Ph.D., that it is necessary to schedule further training, especially for Young Lecturers who are not familiar with Turnitin. Hopefully this activity is useful for Lecturers in optimizing the use of Turnitin. In the closing statement of the resource persons, Mr. David said that Turnitin is not a cheap investment, and as a good educator is one who is able to optimize technology in accelerating and simplifying his work.
